The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is amended 6 by adding Section 106-5 as follows: 7 (725 ILCS 5/106-5 new) 8 Sec. 106-5. Parent and child. Neither a parent nor a 9 child may be compelled to disclose in any criminal court or 10 to any grand jury any statement made to the parent or the 11 child by the other, nor be compelled to divulge any 12 information which has been obtained from the other, except 13 as to such matters in which either has acted as agent for the 14 other.
