Amend Senate Bill 378 on page 33, in 3 line 1, after "tractor", by inserting "without a trailer"; 4 and 5 on page 33, in line 5, by replacing "Beginning January 1, 6 1998," with "Beginning July 1, 1998,"; and 7 on page 33, by replacing lines 18 through 22 with the 8 following: 9 "(3) Beginning July 1, 1998, the Agency shall annually 10 collect no more than a $250 processing and audit fee from 11 each transporter of hazardous waste who has filed a uniform 12 application and, in addition, the Agency shall annually 13 collect an apportioned vehicle registration fee of $20."; and 14 on page 34, immediately below line 9, by inserting the 15 following: 16 "Whenever the amount of the Hazardous Waste Transporter 17 account exceeds by 115% the amount annually appropriated by 18 the General Assembly, the Agency shall credit participating 19 transporters an amount, proportionately based on the amount 20 of the vehicle fee paid, equal to the excess in the account, 21 and shall determine the need to reduce the amount of the fee 22 charged transporters in the subsequent fiscal year by the -2- LRB9002067DPmgam01 1 amount of the credit."; and 2 on page 36, by replacing line 33 with the following: 3 "(D) transports by vehicle any hazardous waste 4 without having in each vehicle credentials issued to 5 the transporter by the transporter's base state 6 pursuant to procedures established under the Uniform 7 Programon his person such permit or license."; and 8 on page 37, by deleting lines 1 and 2.
