90_SB1530 10 ILCS 5/9-14.5 new Amends the Election Code. Provides that any political committee shall file a report of campaign contributions for any calendar week in which the political committee has received contributions in an aggregate amount of $2,500 or more. Provides that the report shall be filed within 5 business days after receiving the contributions. Provides that the report shall include the name and address of each person who has made one or more contributions during the reporting period in an aggregate amount of $150 or more. LRB9011243MWpc LRB9011243MWpc 1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by adding Section 2 9-14.5. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding 6 Section 9-14.5 as follows: 7 (10 ILCS 5/9-14.5 new) 8 Sec. 9-14.5. Weekly report of campaign contributions. 9 In addition to any other report required by this Article, the 10 treasurer of any State political committee or any local 11 political committee shall file with the Board, and the 12 treasurer of any local political committee shall file with 13 the county clerk, a report of campaign contributions, on a 14 form prescribed by the Board, for any calendar week in which 15 the political committee has received contributions in an 16 aggregate amount of $2,500 or more. The treasurer of any 17 political committee that acts as both a State political 18 committee and a local political committee shall file a copy 19 of the report with both the Board and the county clerk. The 20 report shall be filed within 5 business days after receiving 21 the contributions in an aggregate amount of $2,500 or more. 22 The report shall include the name and address of each person 23 who has made one or more contributions during the reporting 24 period in an aggregate amount of $150 or more. 25 A copy of the report filed under this Section shall be 26 preserved by the person filing it for a period of 2 years 27 from the date of filing. 28 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 29 becoming law.
