HAWKINSON-PARKER.

(DART-ERWIN)

   750 ILCS 5/506            from Ch. 40, par. 506                             

        Amends the Illinois Marriage  and  Dissolution  of  Marriage  Act      
   regarding    representation of a child in a dissolution action between      
   the child's parents. Provides that  the court may appoint an  attorney      
   to  represent  the  best interests, rather than the interests,  of the      
   child and adds the child's property as an item for which the  attorney      
   shall  provide    representation  in  addition to the already existing      
   support, custody, and visitation issues.                                    
          FISCAL NOTE (Administrative Office of Ill. Courts)                   
          There would be no fiscal impact on the Judicial Branch.

          No decrease or increase in the number of judges needed.
