KARPIEL. 235 ILCS 5/5-1 from Ch. 43, par. 115 Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that an applicant for a special event retailer's license must, in addition to current requirements, (i) show proof that the applicant is a valid educational, fraternal, political, civic, religious, or non-profit organization, (ii) not hold a retailer's license, (iii) not have received more than 3 special event retailer's licenses in the prior 12 months, and (iv) show proof to the State Commission that it has obtained local authority approval. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
