Senate Sponsors: KARPIEL. Short description: LIQ CNTRL-SPECIAL EVENT LIC Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that an applicant for a special event retailer's license must, in addition to current requirements, (i) show proof that the applicant is a valid educational, fraternal, political, civic, religious, or non-profit organization, (ii) not hold a retailer's license, (iii) not have received more than 3 special event retailer's licenses in the prior 12 months, and (iv) show proof to the State Commission that it has obtained local authority approval. Effective immediately. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Removes the requirement that an applicant for a special event retailer's license must not have received more than 3 special event retailer's licenses in the prior 12 months.
