Short description: 
CONSUMER FRAUD-INTERNET CANCEL                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business  Practices  Act.      
   Provides  that  an  Internet  service  provider  must give each of its      
   customers in this State the option of canceling service  on  10  days'      
   notice  to  the  Internet service provider.  Provides that an Internet      
   service  provider  must  provide  the  customer  with  a  form  and  a      
   pre-addressed envelope that the customer may use to cancel service  by      
   U.S.  Postal  Service  mail.  Specifies methods for providing the form      
   and pre-addressed envelope to the customer.  Provides that an Internet      
   service provider who violates  any  of  these  provisions  commits  an      
   unlawful practice within the meaning of the Act.                            
          FISCAL NOTE (Attorney General)                                       
          No fiscal impact on operating costs, which would be absorbed by      
          existing resources.
