ASBESTOS ABATMT-CONTRCTR INSUR                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Commercial and Public Building Asbestos Abatement  Act      
   to require Department-approved asbestos abatement contractors to carry      
   liability   insurance   in  an  amount  of  at  least  $500,000  (now,      
   $1,000,000).  Disallows  group  insurance  under   that   requirement.      
   Effective immediately.
