NURSE PRACTIONER-PRESCRIPTIONS                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act to include a  nurse      
   practitioner  in  the definition of "practitioner". Authorizes a nurse      
   practitioner to issue  prescriptions  for  Schedule  III,  IV,  and  V      
   controlled substances under the supervision of a licensed physician.
