SHERIFF EMPLOYEE-LEAVE ABSENCE                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Local Governmental  Employees  Political  Rights  Act.      
   Requires  a  sheriff's  office  employee,  who  runs for the office of      
   Sheriff  against  an  incumbent  Sheriff  or  another  member  of  the      
   sheriff's office, to take an unpaid leave of absence during the period      
   of time between filing the petition for nomination and the date of the      
   general election.   Effective immediately.
