PEN CD-CHGO TCHR-MATERNITY LV                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Chicago Teacher Article of the Pension Code.  Provides      
   that teachers may receive credit for a total  of  up  to  3  years  of      
   maternity  or  paternity  leave.    Amends  the  State Mandates Act to      
   require implementation without reimbursement.  Effective immediately.       
          PENSION NOTE                                                         
          There would be an undetermined cost to cover the full cost of        
          service credit.
