1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 287
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 287, on page 3,
3 line 8, after "treatment;", by inserting "limitation of
4 patient referrals; content of"; and
5 on page 3, by replacing lines 9 through 11 with the
6 following:
7 "relating to refunds (if the refund payment would be
8 reportable under federal law to the National Practitioner
9 Data Bank) and warranties and the clinical content of
10 advertising; and final decisions relating to employment
11 of dental assistants and dental hygienists."; and
12 on page 3, line 16, after "Act.", by inserting "Nothing in
13 this Section shall be construed to prohibit insurers and
14 managed care plans from operating pursuant to the applicable
15 provisions of the Illinois Insurance Code under which the
16 entities are licensed."; and
17 on page 4, by replacing lines 31 through 33 with the
18 following:
19 "selection of a course of treatment, limitation of
20 patient referrals, content of patient records, policies
21 and decisions relating to refunds (if the refund payment
22 would be reportable under federal law to the National

1 Practitioner Data Bank) and warranties and the clinical
2 content of advertising, and"; and
3 on page 5, lines 1 and 2, by replacing "decisions relating to
4 office personnel and hours of practice." with "final
5 decisions relating to employment of dental assistants and
6 dental hygienists.".
