Amend House Bill 1050, AS AMENDED, 3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment 4 No. 1, on page 1, line 5, by replacing "10-28 and 34-18.22" 5 with "2-3.131, 3-14.29, 10-28, and 34-18.22 and changing 6 Section 3-14"; and 7 on page 1, immediately below line 5, by inserting the 8 following: 9 "(105 ILCS 5/2-3.131 new) 10 Sec. 2-3.131. Sharing information on school lunch 11 applicants. The State Board of Education shall, whenever 12 requested by the Department of Public Aid, agree in writing 13 with the Department of Public Aid (as the State agency that 14 administers the State Medical Assistance Program as provided 15 in Title XIX of the federal Social Security Act and the State 16 Children's Health Insurance Program as provided in Title XXI 17 of the federal Social Security Act) to share with the 18 Department of Public Aid information on applicants for free 19 or reduced-price lunches. This sharing of information shall 20 be for the sole purpose of helping the Department of Public 21 Aid identify and enroll children in the State Medical 22 Assistance Program or the State Children's Health Insurance -2- LRB9205608NTsbam01 1 Program or both as allowed under 42 U.S.C. 2 1758(b)(2)(C)(iii)(IV) and under the restrictions set forth 3 in 42 U.S.C. 1758(b)(2)(C)(vi) and (vii). 4 (105 ILCS 5/3-14) (from Ch. 122, par. 3-14) 5 Sec. 3-14. Duties of regional superintendent. The 6 regional superintendent of schools shall perform the duties 7 enumerated in the following Sections preceding Section 3-15 83-14.1 through 3-14.25. 9 (Source: P.A. 83-503.) 10 (105 ILCS 5/3-14.29 new) 11 Sec. 3-14.29. Sharing information on school lunch 12 applicants. Whenever requested by the Department of Public 13 Aid, to agree in writing with the Department of Public Aid 14 (as the State agency that administers the State Medical 15 Assistance Program as provided in Title XIX of the federal 16 Social Security Act and the State Children's Health Insurance 17 Program as provided in Title XXI of the federal Social 18 Security Act) to share with the Department of Public Aid 19 information on applicants for free or reduced-price lunches. 20 This sharing of information shall be for the sole purpose of 21 helping the Department of Public Aid identify and enroll 22 children in the State Medical Assistance Program or the State 23 Children's Health Insurance Program or both as allowed under 24 42 U.S.C. 1758(b)(2)(C)(iii)(IV) and under the restrictions 25 set forth in 42 U.S.C. 1758(b)(2)(C)(vi) and (vii).".
