1 AN ACT regarding education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
5 21-2c as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/21-2c new)
7 Sec. 21-2c. Student teacher evaluation. For a student
8 teacher enrolled in a student teaching course at a teacher
9 training institution, the institution shall make the final
10 evaluation of the student teacher's performance. This final
11 evaluation shall include an evaluation of all of the
12 following:
13 (1) The student teacher's classroom organization.
14 (2) The student teacher's classroom discipline.
15 (3) The student teacher's relationship with the
16 classroom students.
17 (4) The student teacher's professional growth.
18 The supervising teacher may make a separate evaluation of the
19 student teacher's performance.
