92_HB1819enr HB1819 Enrolled LRB9206756ACcd 1 AN ACT concerning nursing homes. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by 5 adding Section 3-206.04 as follows: 6 (210 ILCS 45/3-206.04 new) 7 Sec. 3-206.04. Certified Nurse Assistant Career Ladders 8 Program. The Department shall convene a task force to 9 determine the feasibility and curriculum for a Certified 10 Nurse Assistant Career Ladders Program. Any such program 11 shall articulate with licensed practical nurse education. 12 The task force shall be comprised of 2 members from Illinois 13 public community college faculty, one of whom shall be a 14 registered professional nurse, 2 members from the nursing 15 home community, one of whom shall be a registered 16 professional nurse, one member who is a Certified Nurse 17 Assistant Educator, and representatives from the Department. 18 The task force shall report its findings and recommendations 19 to the General Assembly on or before January 1, 2002. 20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 21 becoming law.
