1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1819
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1819 as follows:
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by
6 adding Section 3-206.04 as follows:
7 (210 ILCS 45/3-206.04 new)
8 Sec. 3-206.04. Certified Nurse Assistant Career Ladders
9 Program. The Department shall convene a task force to
10 determine the feasibility and curriculum for a Certified
11 Nurse Assistant Career Ladders Program. Any such program
12 shall articulate with licensed practical nurse education.
13 The task force shall be comprised of 2 members from Illinois
14 public community college faculty, one of whom shall be a
15 registered professional nurse, 2 members from the nursing
16 home community, one of whom shall be a registered
17 professional nurse, one member who is a Certified Nurse
18 Assistant Educator, and representatives from the Department.
19 The task force shall report its findings and recommendations
20 to the General Assembly on or before January 1, 2002.

1 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2 becoming law.".
