1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1635
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1635 on page 1,
3 line 5, after "3.1-20-20", by inserting the following:
4 "and by adding Section 3.1-55-25"; and
5 on page 4, immediately below line 17, by inserting the
6 following:
7 "(65 ILCS 5/3.1-55-25 new)
8 Sec. 3.1-55-25. Automatic abandonment of a form of
9 municipal government. Notwithstanding the provisions of
10 Sections 4-10-1, 5-5-1, 5-5-1.1, 5-5-2, 5-5-3, 5-5-4, 5-5-5,
11 and 5-5-6 and any other provisions of this Act, if a
12 municipality adopts a different form of municipal government
13 under Article 4, 5, or 6, then its current form of municipal
14 government is automatically abandoned when the new form of
15 municipal government takes effect.".
