Makes a technical change in a Section concerning a local tax to pay for the costs of liability insurance and other items. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Authorizes a school board to make a one-time transfer from any fund in which tort immunity moneys are maintained to the fund or funds from which payments to a joint-self-health-insurance cooperative can be or have been made (instead of from the Tort Immunity Fund to the Education Fund) in connection with the payment of liability claims, and allows such a transfer in an amount that the school district paid within the 2 years immediately preceding the effective date of this amendatory Act (as an alternative to an amount not exceeding the amount of the school district's liability claim owed to the joint-self-health-insurance cooperative).
