House Sponsors: HOFFMAN. Short description: VEH CD-PERMITS-CONCRETE PUMPS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Department of Transportation, on request, shall issue single trip permits or annual permits for transportation of concrete pump trucks or well drilling equipment. Sets conditions for the issuance and use of these permits. Provides that the Department shall set fees for the permits. Provides that the Department shall determine the form and content of the permits with respect to highways under its jurisdiction. Provides that local authorities shall determine the form and content of the permits with respect to highways under their jurisdiction. FISCAL NOTE (Illinois Department of Transportation) The fiscal impact is indeterminable. The Department may lose revenue from the sale of single and round-trip permits. It is impossible to forecast the number of companies that would be interested in purchasing annual permits.
