Changes how average daily attendance is compiled under the State aid formula. Allows pupils regularly enrolled in a public school for only part of the school day to be counted on the basis of the proportion of minutes of school work completed each day to the minimum number of minutes that school work is required to be held that day (instead of on the basis of 1/6 day for every class hour of instruction of 40 minutes or more attended pursuant to the enrollment). Effective July 1, 2001. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Removes the provision concerning counting a pupil who on a particular day attends for only a part of the scheduled school day. Restores current law concerning counting pupils regularly enrolled in a public school for only part of the school day. Instead, allows for an exception if a pupil is enrolled in a block-schedule format of 80 minutes or more of instruction, in which case he or she may be counted on the basis of the proportion of minutes of school work completed each day to the minimum number of minutes that school work is required to be held that day.
