Senate Sponsors: PARKER. Short description: VEH CD-DRIVING REVOKED-PENALTY Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, when a person is charged with the offense of driving while his or her license is suspended or revoked because of a prior conviction of DUI, reckless homicide, leaving the scene of an accident causing death or injury, or a statutory summary suspension, that person shall be sentenced to a minimum fine of $1000 and a mandatory term of imprisonment of between 180 and 364 days or 120 days of community service.
