1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
6 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
7 Dram Shop Fund to the Liquor Control Commission:
8 For Personal Services ........................ $ 1,975,000
9 For Employee Retirement Contributions
10 Paid by Employer ............................ 78,100
11 For State Contributions to State
12 Employees' Retirement System ................ 191,900
13 For State Contributions to
14 Social Security ............................. 151,200
15 For Group Insurance .......................... 295,800
16 For Contractual Services ..................... 291,900
17 For Travel ................................... 102,700
18 For Commodities .............................. 18,700
19 For Printing ................................. 9,200
20 For Equipment ................................ 10,800
21 For Electronic Data Processing ............... 43,500
22 For Telecommunications Services .............. 72,000
23 For Operation of Automotive Equipment......... 35,200
24 For Refunds .................................. 2,000
25 Total $3,278,000
26 Section 2. The sum of $145,000, or so much thereof as
27 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
28 Fund to the Liquor Control Commission for deposit into the
29 Dram Shop Fund.
30 Section 3. The sum of $145,000, or so much thereof as

1 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Dram Shop Fund to
2 the Liquor Control Commission for regulation of alcoholic
3 liquor shipments via express companies, common carriers or
4 contract carriers to guard against illegal shipments to
5 minors.
6 Section 4. The amount of $670,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Dram Shop Fund to
8 the Liquor Control Commission to conduct a study to determine
9 the extent of enforcement of laws relating to access by
10 minors to tobacco products.
11 Section 5. The following amounts, or so much thereof as
12 may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated for the
13 Retailer Education Program from the Dram Shop Fund to the
14 Liquor Control Commission, for the objects and purposes
15 hereinafter named:
16 For Personal Services ........................ $ 88,000
17 For Employee Retirement Contributions
18 Paid by Employer ............................ 3,500
19 For State Contributions to State
20 Employees' Retirement System ................ 8,500
21 For State Contributions to
22 Social Security ............................. 6,900

1 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
2 July 1, 1999.
