 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3738

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3738  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The  sum of $19,500,000, or so much thereof
 5    as may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to  any  other  amounts
 6    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
 7    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
 8    a  2%  cost of living adjustment retroactive to April 1, 2003
 9    for  providers   serving   individuals   with   developmental
10    disabilities.

11        Section 10.  The sum of $8,500,000, or so much thereof as
12    may   be   necessary,   in  addition  to  any  other  amounts
13    appropriated for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from  the
14    General  Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for
15    a 2% cost of living adjustment retroactive to April  1,  2003
16    for providers serving individuals with mental illness.

17        Section  15.  The  sum of $35,000,000, or so much thereof
18    as may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to  any  other  amounts
19    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
20    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
21    a $1 per hour wage increase for personal assistants providing

 1    services under the Department's Home Services Program.

 2        Section  20.  The  sum of $17,000,000, or so much thereof
 3    as may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to  any  other  amounts
 4    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
 5    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
 6    vacant  slots in community integrated living arrangements for
 7    individuals with developmental disabilities.

 8        Section 25.  The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as
 9    may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to   any   other   amounts
10    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
11    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
12    supported   employment  for  individuals  with  developmental
13    disabilities.

14        Section 30.  The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as
15    may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to   any   other   amounts
16    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
17    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
18    grants to Special Recreation Associations.

19        Section  35. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as
20    may  be  necessary,  in  addition  to   any   other   amounts
21    appropriated  for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from the
22    General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services  for
23    the Home Based Support Services Program.

24        Section 40. The sum of $34,648,700, or so much thereof as
25    may   be   necessary,   in  addition  to  any  other  amounts
26    appropriated for  this  purpose,  is  appropriated  from  the
27    General  Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for
28    Intermediate Care Facilities for the  Mentally  Retarded  and
29    Alternative Community Programs.

 1        Section 99.  This Act takes effect on July 1, 2003.".
