AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1905

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1905 as follows:

on page 36, line 8, after "Board." by inserting "Upon the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly, the ex-officio non-voting member of the Health Facilities Planning Board representing the Department of Public Health as of April 1, 2009 shall no longer serve as an ex-officio member of the Health Facilities and Services Review Board. The Director of Public Health shall serve as the Department's ex-officio member until such time that the Director designates a replacement ex-officio member to the Board."; and

on page 37, line 24, after "Board." by inserting "The Executive Secretary of the Health Facilities Planning Board, holding that position on April 1, 2009, is terminated as of the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly, by operation of law, and shall thereafter no longer hold that position or any other employment position with the Health Facilities and Services Review Board or any agency authorized to provide an ex-officio member to the Board or any position requiring nomination through the Special Nominating Panel. The Board and the Agencies are directed to take any action necessary to effectuate this termination and prohibition from employment.".
