SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

10 ILCS 5/28-14 new
    Amends the Election Code. Authorizes the board of education of a school district, by resolution, to initiate an advisory question under the Code to be placed on the ballot both in the territory of the school district and in the precincts adjacent to the boundaries of the school district.

1     AN ACT concerning elections.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section
5 28-14 as follows:

6     (10 ILCS 5/28-14 new)
7     Sec. 28-14. School district; adjacent precincts. The board
8 of education of a school district, by resolution, may initiate
9 an advisory question under this Article to be placed on the
10 ballot both in the territory of the school district and in the
11 precincts adjacent to the boundaries of the school district.
