AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3345

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3345 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Clerks of Courts Act is amended by adding Section 27.3f as follows:

(705 ILCS 105/27.3f new)

Sec. 27.3f. Pro-rata distribution of costs, fees, and fines. Whenever the payment of costs, fees, fines, or other financial obligations imposed upon a defendant in any felony, misdemeanor, traffic, ordinance, or conservation offense is less than the total amount as required by law or imposed by the court, the clerk of the court shall apply the amount paid on a pro-rata basis to each cost, fee, fine, or other financial obligation assessed in the case. This pro-rata distribution shall apply to any initial payments and each subsequent payment made by the defendant.".
