1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4763
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4763 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5 amended by adding Section 73 as follows:

6     (210 ILCS 9/73 new)
7     Sec. 73. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
8 information.
9     (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
10 establishments shall post prominently on the home page of the
11 establishment's website information about the Department on
12 Aging's Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, including:
13         (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
14     advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
15         (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
16     number.

1     (b) An establishment:
2         (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
3     required information on the website of the establishment's
4     parent company if the establishment does not maintain a
5     unique website; and
6         (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
7     establishment and any parent company do not maintain a
8     website.

9     Section 10. The Life Care Facilities Act is amended by
10 adding Section 10.2 as follows:

11     (210 ILCS 40/10.2 new)
12     Sec. 10.2. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
13 information.
14     (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
15 facilities shall post prominently on the home page of the
16 facility's website information about the Department on Aging's
17 Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, including:
18         (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
19     advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
20         (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
21     number.
22     (b) A facility:
23         (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
24     required information on the website of the facility's

1     parent company if the facility does not maintain a unique
2     website; and
3         (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
4     facility and any parent company do not maintain a website.

5     Section 15. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding
6 Section 3-613 as follows:

7     (210 ILCS 45/3-613 new)
8     Sec. 3-613. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
9 information.
10     (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
11 facilities shall post prominently on the home page of the
12 facility's website information about the Department on Aging's
13 Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, including:
14         (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
15     advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
16         (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
17     number.
18     (b) A facility:
19         (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
20     required information on the website of the facility's
21     parent company if the facility does not maintain a unique

1     Section 20. The MC/DD Act is amended by adding Section
2 3-613 as follows:

3     (210 ILCS 46/3-613 new)
4     Sec. 3-613. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
5 information.
6     (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
7 facilities shall post prominently on the home page of the
8 facility's website information about the Department on Aging's
9 Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, including:
10         (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
11     advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
12         (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
13     number.
14     (b) A facility:
15         (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
16     required information on the website of the facility's
17     parent company if the facility does not maintain a unique
18     website; and
19         (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
20     facility and any parent company do not maintain a website.

21     Section 25. The ID/DD Community Care Act is amended by
22 adding Section 3-613 as follows:

2     Sec. 3-613. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
3 information.
4     (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
5 facilities shall post prominently on the home page of the
6 facility's website information about the Department on Aging's
7 Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, including:
8         (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
9     advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
10         (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
11     number.
12     (b) A facility:
13         (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
14     required information on the website of the facility's

19     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
