1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1960
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1960 on page 17,
3 line 14, by replacing "right of way" with "right-of-way"; and

4 on page 17, immediately above line 24 by inserting the
5 following:
6 "(a-5) Subject to the restrictions of this Section, the
7 Department of Natural Resources may authorize and regulate the
8 operation of low-speed electric scooters on any or all
9 properties owned, managed, or leased by the Department of
10 Natural Resources including, but not limited to, sidewalks,
11 trails, or other public rights-of-way where the operation of
12 bicycles is permitted. The use of low-speed electric scooters
13 within any property that is owned, managed, or leased by the
14 Department of Natural Resources is allowed only if authorized
15 by the Department of Natural Resources. The Department of
16 Natural Resources is authorized to adopt administrative rules
17 for the regulation of low-speed electric scooters on any and
