1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2716
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2716, AS AMENDED,
3 in Section 5, in Sec. 11-141-7, by replacing the sentence:
4 "Except in counties with a population of more than
5 250,000, the payment of delinquent charges for sewerage
6 service to any premises may be enforced by discontinuing
7 either the water service or the sewerage service to that
8 premises, or both." with the following:
9 "Except in counties with a population of more than
10 250,000 where the majority of the municipal sewerage system
11 users are located outside of the municipality's corporate
12 limits, the payment of delinquent charges for sewerage
13 service to any premises may be enforced by discontinuing
14 either the water service or the sewerage service to that
15 premises, or both."; and
16 in Section 5, in Sec. 11-141-16, by replacing the sentence:
17 "Except in counties with a population of more than
18 250,000, the payment of delinquent charges for sewerage
19 service to any premises may be enforced by discontinuing
20 either the water service or the sewerage service to that
21 premises, or both." with the following:
22 "Except in counties with a population of more than
