1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 473
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 473 on page 1,
3 line 8, by changing "circuit judge" to "judges"; and
4 on page 1, by replacing lines 12 and 13 with the following:
5 "judicial circuit.
6 (a-3) In addition to the number of circuit judges
7 otherwise authorized by this Act, there shall be one
8 additional circuit judge elected in the nineteenth judicial
9 circuit who is a resident of and elected from Lake County.
10 (a-6) In addition to the number of circuit judges
11 otherwise authorized by this Act, there shall be one
12 additional circuit judge elected in the fifth judicial
13 circuit who is a resident of and elected from Vermilion
14 County.
15 (a-9) In addition to the number of circuit judges and
16 resident judges otherwise authorized by law, and
17 notwithstanding any other provision of law, there shall be
18 one additional resident judge elected from the unit within
19 Chicago of the Circuit of Cook County to serve in the
20 juvenile division.
21 (b) The additional circuit judgeships and resident
22 judgeship provided by this"; and

2 to "those judgeships are".
