SCH CD-ED BD ORGANIZE                                                      

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the School Code.  Provides that  in  1999  and  2001,  the      
   requirement  that  a  school  board  organize  within 7 days after its      
   election refers to 7 days after the November commencement of terms  of      
   members  elected the previous April.  Removes an obsolete reference to      
   the election of board members at the nonpartisan election.   Effective      
   immediately.
