1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by adding
2 Section 12-12.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
6 adding Section 12-12.1 as follows:
7 (305 ILCS 5/12-12.1 new)
8 Sec. 12-12.1. World Wide Web page. The Illinois
9 Department of Human Services shall create and maintain or
10 cause to be created and maintained one or more World Wide Web
11 pages containing information on selected individuals who are
12 in arrears in their child support obligations under an
13 Illinois court order or administrative order. The
14 information regarding each of the individuals shall include
15 the individual's name, a photograph if available, the amount
16 of the child support arrearage, and any other information
17 deemed appropriate by the Illinois Department in its
18 discretion. The individuals may be chosen by the Illinois
19 Department using criteria including, but not limited to, the
20 amount of the arrearage, the effect of inclusion of an
21 individual upon the likelihood of the individual's payment of
22 an arrearage, the motivational effect that inclusion of an
23 individual may have on the willingness of other individuals
24 to pay their arrearages, or the need to locate a particular
25 individual. The Illinois Department shall make the page or
26 pages accessible to Internet users through the World Wide
27 Web. The Illinois Department, in its discretion, may change
28 the contents of the page or pages from time to time.
29 The Illinois Department shall, upon request, cooperate
30 with and supply information to counties and municipalities
31 wishing to create and maintain World Wide Web pages

3 or administrative order.
