92_SB0168eng SB168 Engrossed LRB9200971NTsbA 1 AN ACT concerning higher education. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by 5 adding Section 21 as follows: 6 (110 ILCS 305/21 new) 7 Sec. 21. Meningitis vaccine; information. At the 8 beginning of each academic year, the University shall inform 9 each of its incoming freshmen and transfer students about 10 meningitis and its transmission. Any University facility 11 that delivers health services to University students must 12 offer the meningitis vaccine, subject to availability of the 13 vaccine from the manufacturer. Nothing in this Section may 14 be construed to require the University to pay for the cost of 15 vaccination. 16 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management 17 Act is amended by adding Section 11 as follows: 18 (110 ILCS 520/11 new) 19 Sec. 11. Meningitis vaccine; information. At the 20 beginning of each academic year, the University shall inform 21 each of its incoming freshmen and transfer students about 22 meningitis and its transmission. Any University facility 23 that delivers health services to University students must 24 offer the meningitis vaccine, subject to availability of the 25 vaccine from the manufacturer. Nothing in this Section may 26 be construed to require the University to pay for the cost of 27 vaccination. 28 Section 15.
