1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 171
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 171, on page 4, by
3 inserting between lines 5 and 6 the following:
4 "(g) All teen court jury members, teen court attorneys,
5 judges, and observers are required to sign the following
6 oath of confidentiality prior to commencing teen court
7 proceedings:
8 "I solemnly swear or affirm that I will not
9 divulge, either by words or signs, any information
10 about actual cases which comes to my knowledge in
11 the course of a teen court case presentation and
12 that I will keep secret all proceedings which may be
13 held in my presence.
14 Further, I understand that if I break
15 confidentiality by telling anyone else the names of
16 teen court defendants or any other specific details
17 of the case which may identify that juvenile, I will
18 no longer be able to serve as a teen court
19 participant.""; and
20 on page 4, line 6, by changing "(g)" to "(h)"; and
21 on page 4, line 8, by changing "(h)" to "(i)"; and
22 on page 4, line 13, by changing "(i)" to "(j)".
