Amend Senate Bill 171, on page 3, 3 line 9, by inserting after "court" the following: 4 by the Office of the State's Attorney as a diversion from 5 prosecution or"; and 6 on page 3, by replacing lines 18 and 19 with the following: 7 "penalties the court may impose."; and 8 on page 3, by replacing lines 25 and 26 with the following: 9 "19 years of age."; and 10 on page 4, by replacing lines 8 through 15 with the 11 following: 12 "(h) The teen court jury shall only be a sentencing 13 jury, in that it may order the minor to pay restitution or 14 perform community service or any other requirements set out 15 in writing by the program in advance of the minor's 16 participation. 17 (i) No person shall be liable for any injury occurring 18 to any person performing community service or other 19 activities ordered by the teen court, except for willful or 20 wanton conduct.".
