1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3249
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3249 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning property."; and
5 by inserting immediately below Section 100 the following:
6 "Section 205. The Historic Preservation Agency Act is
7 amended by changing Section 6 as follows:
8 (20 ILCS 3405/6) (from Ch. 127, par. 2706)
9 Sec. 6. Jurisdiction. The Agency shall have jurisdiction
10 over the following described areas which are hereby
11 designated as State Historic Sites, State Memorials, and
12 Miscellaneous Properties:
13 State Historic Sites
14 Bishop Hill State Historic Site, Henry County;
15 Black Hawk State Historic Site, Rock Island County;
16 Bryant Cottage State Historic Site, Piatt County;
17 Buel House, Pope County;
18 Cahokia Courthouse State Historic Site, St. Clair County;
19 Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, in Madison and St.
20 Clair Counties (however, the Illinois State Museum

1 shall act as curator of artifacts pursuant to the
2 provisions of the Archaeological and Paleontological
3 Resources Protection Act "An Act to protect and
4 preserve, and to regulate the taking of aboriginal
5 records and antiquities within the State of Illinois,
6 and to provide penalties for the violation of this
7 Act", approved August 21, 1961, as amended);
